This year, I spent Thanksgiving at JoAnn and Aram's place. (They are my sister and brother-in-law.) Aram's parents, Jerry and Linda, came up from Louisville to join us. Mom, Dad, and Julie were there, too.
Aram's mom Linda looks in disbelief as her husband Jerry. They had just arrived seconds ago, yet Jerry can't wait to call Anil and ask him, "What is life?"
Jerry is amused by the asking Dad, "What is life?" Dad doesn't look so amused.
Mom and Linda enjoy a glass of wine.
Julie is being goofy. Somebody cut her off!
Mom's already drunk, and we haven't even eaten yet.
Julie and JoAnn spend some quality time together.
Aram's mom Linda is a master chef. Here she shows Aram how to cut the meat.
Look at Aram's technique! Very impressive!
Our meal was fairly eclectic and nontraditional. No turkey. Instead, beef, corn, fried rice, potatoes, and much more that I can't remember as I write this in February 2003. Most of it homemade. All of it very tasty.
Now some obligatory pictures of the family with the food, starting with our hosts, Aram and JoAnn.
The Lullas: Aram, JoAnn, Linda, and Jerry.
Here's Julie taking the same pictures that I am with Aram's camera.
Here's everyone but me and Julie. Finally, we got Aram to smile, but JoAnn's eyes are closed! Doh!
Finally, we get to dig in and have some food. Yet, Jerry can't seem to resist the question
At least Mom is entertained!

Now a before and after. To the left is the food before. To the right is the food after our meal. As you can see, we barely made a dent in the food, but we were all really full!
We're all now in a "food coma" following the meal. Yet, the disucssion continues between Aram and Linda, while Jerry just ponders the thought
"Food coma" has now taken full force. We're all in our own world, blindly staring into never-never land. A perfect opportunity to ask ourselves, "What is life?"
